Craving, emotional eating, binging, h-anger, comfort food… however you name it, it is time to understand it, to recognise it when it happens and to deal with it!
To whom is it addressed?
Do you find yourself eating when you are actually not hungry?
Have you ever noticed
- searching for “something satisfying” to eat especially when you get back exhausted from work,
- indulging for a specific sweet when you are down,
- stress-snacking or simply opening the fridge every time you are just bored?
Then this workshop is for you!
it might benefit also YOU as a health professional (nurse, coach, psychologist, nutritionist, dietitian) who meets such behaviours and will provide meaningful help utilising the experiential activities.
What does it contain?
The content is divided into 2 parts and it is led by a nutritionist and a psychologist in collaboration so as to answer both on the nutritional management as well as on managing the underlying feeling which trigger “emotional eating” in the first place. More specifically in this workshop:
- describes the special characteristics of hunger due to biological cues in comparison to those which characterise eating driven by emotion
- suggests nutritional techniques in order to chose less frequently the food as an answer to emotions or to reduce the impact this might have on health and wellbeing.
- explain the inevitable connection of food and emotion
- to introduce you to mindfulness and body awareness as techniques that will help you managing emotions in the long term
What is a workshop;
An online workshop includes more interactive elements such as experiential or hands-on activities in comparison with a webinar for example. This motivates even more.
Led by a nutritionist and a psychologist
So, I am Irini. I am a dietitian-nutritionist and nutriness.gr is my online private practice. Since you are already here, I will skip the part of introducing myself and will invite you to navigate in the “about me” page if you want to know me better (Yes, I know it is in greek… but automatic translate could give you a picture! Otherwise, I am always happy to communicate). The important part is that my collaboration with Eva is based on the facts that,
- we talk the same language(s). We come from Greece and we have both studied also in the UK.
- now, we both live and work somewhere else in Europe (i.e. Sweden and the Netherlands)
- we share the same mentality about professionalism and we are passionate about overall wellbeing
- we have already run webinars and workshops together while we are currently working on employee wellbeing projects
So we couldn’t help but creating these workshops (we run also a workshop about ideal weight and body image) in english too.
About Eva
I am Eva a psychologist, graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and an art psychotherapist, trained in the postgraduate program of the University of South Wales. Ι am dedicated to creating an environment of free expression and development for the people I work with using speech and art-making.
I specialise in relationship issues, emotional regulation, anxiety and depression, immigration and life transitions, complex mental health and sexual trauma. I have worked in public hospitals, schools and refugee camps in Greece and the United Kingdom. My private practice is online and also based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Cancellation and refund policy:
- Requests of cancellations which are emailed to info@nutriness.gr up to 24 hours prior to the webinar are refunded to 95% of the total amount.
- Requests of cancellations which are emailed to info@nutriness.gr from 24 hours prior to the webinar to 2 hours before the webinars initiation time are refunded to 50% of the total amount.
- Requests of cancellations which are emailed to info@nutriness.gr from 2 hours prior to the webinar or later, are not entitled to refund.
- Refunds are processed within the next 24 hours upon the completion of the webinar. Tax invoices for the purchases are also issued during the same time period.
